II. Core Working Principle
The special hollow paddle dryer for chemical fibers adopts the indirect heating drying principle. Heat medium (steam, hot water or heat transfer oil) is introduced through the hollow paddle shaft, and the heat is transferred to the material to be dried through the paddle wall surface, realizing uniform heating and moisture evaporation of the material. During the drying process, a large amount of hot air is not required as a moisture carrier, which greatly reduces heat loss.
In the chemical fiber production process, this equipment is mainly used for the drying treatment of fiber-forming polymer solutions, melts and post-spinning fibers: polymer materials are transported into the dryer cavity, and under the stirring and pushing action of the rotating paddles, they fully contact the heating surface, and the moisture evaporates quickly and is carried out of the system by a small amount of carrying air; the dried finished materials are discharged from the discharge port and enter the subsequent spinning and drawing processes (the drawing mechanism increases the fiber length and strength through roller drawing and controls the production speed), finally forming qualified chemical fiber products.
